Well folks, Covid is ramping up and I have just been given notice that Okmulgee Courthouse is closed to the public until January 8, 2021. Okfuskee Courthouse is closed until January 11, 2021. There are employees there to help you by phone and some exceptions to this notice. However, if you wanted to get divorced by the Holidays it is not going to happen. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Criminal Law Translation: When ordered by the Judge to take a drug test. "I just used the bathroom so I need to drink some water" Translation: "I am going to test hot for something but if I drink a gallon or two of water maybe that will help" When going to court make sure you will test clean!!!!!!

Family Law Advice: Sole Custody or being listed as Primary Custodian does not give you the right to violate a court order. It doesn't give you the right to change visitation unilaterally or refuse visitation. If you do you are in contempt. So if you want an order changed, hire an attorney and do it the right way.
