In honor of #ThirstyThursday we are going to be discussing the importance of staying hydrated! Reasons to drink plenty of water: Water flushes out waste from your body It helps regulate body temperature ... It helps with brain function It protects tissues & joints It helps maximize physical performance It aids in digestion It helps with nutrient absorption It helps with weight loss It helps fight off oxygen It helps boost energy It helps improve skin As you can see there are PLENTY of benefits that come with drinking water! To calculate how much water you should drink a day you should: 1) Take your weight in pounds and divide that by 2.2 2) Multiply that number depending on your age: <30 multiply by 40. Between 30-55 multiply by 35. >50 multiply by 30. 3) Divide that product by 28.3 4) Your total is how many ounces of water you should drink each day.
