Tune in next Wednesday, April 21st at 12:00PM CST to hear @attorneydamario present the Public Nuisance Litigation to Repair the Continued Harm of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.

Justice for Greenwood Foundation 06.05.2021

In our country, if you commit a crime, you are arrested and prosecuted. If you steal or destroy, you pay restitution. It's why we arrest and imprison 80-year-old men for murders they committed in their 20's. It's why we force Johnson & Johnson to pay $472 Million, to families impacted by opioid abuse, for their 40-year-old crimes. ... If citizens can be imprisoned 60 years later and corporations can be forced to pay for damages of decades-old crimes, then the City of Tulsa and its accomplices should be forced to pay restitution to the survivors and descendants of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, rebuild Black Wall Street. They should pay for their 100-year-old crimes and their continued harm. 300 Black lives murdered $200 Million in property damage/land stolen No arrests, no convictions, no reparations www.JusticeforGreenwood.org #justiceforgreenwood #justiceformotherrandle #justiceformotherfletcher

The City of Tulsa Gov participated in destroying Mother Randle's community. They are guilty of the murder of their own citizens and destroying 40 city blocks ($200M in current value). Instead of justice, the City of Tulsa is trying to hoodwink Mother Randle, denying her a public records release and building a museum in her community that profits White Tulsans. The City claims this is justice for their atrocities in 1921 and 100 years of continued harm. It's sick! How can you ...help? 1. Tell Mayor Bynum that Tulsa Owes justice and reparations. Go to www.tinyurl.com/TulsaOwes 2. Make a donation of any size at www.justiceforgreenwood.org We will outlast the City of Tulsa and white supremacy. We will get reparations for Mother Randle, Greenwood and the rest of the survivors & descendants of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre!! Mayor GT Bynum

Listen to @tulsamayorgtbynum admitting that the @cityoftulsa helped White Tulsans get away with the cold-blooded murder of Black Greenwood residents during the #TulsaRaceMassacre on #SoulofaNation on ABC this past Tuesday night. Can you SEE it? Can you FEEL it? Justice is coming for Greenwood!! But we can't get there without your help!... How can you help? Two things: 1. Tell Mayor Bynum that "Tulsa Owes" justice and reparations www.tinyurl.com/TulsaOwes 2. Make a donation of any size at www.justiceforgreenwood.org Thank you for joining this movement! We will outlast the @cityoftulsa and white supremacy. We will get reparations for Greenwood and the survivors & descendants of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre!! Do you believe?

How do we work through generational trauma? How do we confront and transform histories of abuse on Black bodies? We face our history. Head on. Here’s a look back in time at the immediate aftermath of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre: Image Descriptions: Slide 1... Wide view of Downtown Greenwood showing burnt-out, leveled buildings in the immediate aftermath of the Massacre, 1921. Two men stand in the middle of the street talking, one with a gun slung over his shoulder. They appear to be monitoring the Greenwood residents (pictured here also) as they sift through the rubble of their formerly thriving business district on either side of the street. Slide 2 Destruction in Greenwood in the wake of the Massacre, 1921. Slide 3 Billowing smoke coming from Greenwood residents’ homes. Slide 4 Greenwood Massacre Refugees standing outside of unknown building. In the wake of the Massacre, approximately 6,000 Black Tulsans were forcefully detained in internment camps guarded by armed men and forced to work for free as virtual slaves for the City of Tulsa. Residents were made to clean up the wreckage in Greenwood. Many if not all lived in refugee camps. Slide 5 Destruction in the aftermath of the Massacre, 1921. To the left is Historic Vernon A.M.E. In the background are a few homes and buildings that did not get completely destroyed during the Massacre. We’re only eight weeks away from the 100th year centennial of this horrific event, and yet, to this day not one penny has been paid to those affected. There's been no arrests, no convictions and zero entities held accountable. Help amplify our work by sharing our posts and join our fight at justiceforgreenwood.org

If you were to drive through the historic Greenwood area today, you'd see that it's only an inkling of what it was in 1921. This was their plan all along. Following the Massacre, white residents and lawmakers exacerbated the damage and suffering of the Greenwood residents. They unlawfully detained thousands of Greenwood survivors and enacted unconstitutional laws that deprived Greenwood residents of the reasonable use of their property. The scars created by years of ignoring... calls for justice and racially discriminatory laws are deep and will require real resources and investment in Tulsa’s Black community. That’s why our Foundation is committed to seeking a holistic remedy for justice. No matter how long it takes. Click the Link in Bio to learn how you can play an active role in the fight for justice.
