I just wrapped up inspections on new construction and had someone ask why we were having inspections on a brand new home, which is such a great question! With so many trades in and out of a house during construction, things can get overlooked, installed incorrectly or there could be defaults with new systems or appliances. Even the best builders need inspections. It’s so much better to be proactive and get little things resolved prior to moving in... you don’t want to wait and then a minor issue becomes a major issue. Always, always get inspections!

2 years ago today I made the scariest career change into real estate. Sometimes I wonder what I was thinking leaving a stable job for a self-employed career in a totally new industry but I’m glad I did!

This little one starts daycare today and I’ve got all the feels. She’s been to countless showings, inspections, brokers opens, and meetings with me. I’m excited for her to have new experiences and for much more productive work days but it sure is weird without my littlest sidekick nearby.
