Applicant must be able to pass a background check ...and drug test, must have a GED or high school diploma, must be dependable, reliable and self-motivated. Ability to multi task and have a valid driver's license. Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and physical exertion, knowledge of tools, materials and equipment used in maintenance. Work cooperatively and effectively with staff, public, homebuyers and occupants. Good communication skills and able to work as a team. We are working on our Emergency Rental Assistance Policy and Application. It will be ready to go April 12th!

We have had several calls for heaters not maintaining the temperature you have it set at. Due to the extreme cold heaters may not be able to keep up due to the extreme weather we are experiencing. This has been confirmed by our heating and air vendors.

***Food vouchers are no longer available.*** Kaw Nation has purchased food vouchers to be used at Apple Market in Newkirk. These are for any Kaw Tribal member, one per household. The vouchers will be distributed by Kaw Housing Authority during regular business hours 8-4 of this week, with the exception of Tuesday and Wednesday, hours will be 8-5. Please send a note if someone else is picking up your voucher. We are asking you to wear a mask while In the building.

Kaw Housing would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! We will be closed Thursday and Friday for Christmas. We will reopen Monday, December 28th at 8a.m. Hope you have a safe and Merry Christmas!

Our splash pad will be closing on Tuesday, September 8th.

Bids will be dated and time stamped when received. The amount will be posted so all will know what has been bid. Remember bid closing is Monday, August 31st by 2:00 p.m.

The last bids for the items posted are listed as follows: 2006 Pontiac G6 Bid amount on 8-31-20 at 1:54 p.m is $2500.00... Loft Barn Bid amount on 8-24-20 at 12:30 p.m. is $2000.00 Today, Monday 8-31 is last day we are taking bids on the posted items. All bids need to be in by 2:00.

Kaw Housing Authority has surplus items they will be taking bids on. Bids will be accepted on all items until 2:00 p.m. on August 31st. Bids can be brought by the office or mailed into Kaw Housing Authority, #9 Kanza Lane, Newkirk, OK 74647. A description of each item is under the picture with the starting bid amount. If your bid is accepted, payment will need to be made by cashiers check or money order before picking up the item.
