What are your plans this Valentine's day?

She may not be senior this year, but she certainly carries herself as though she is. One of my absolute favorite things about photography is being able to photograph both clients and loved ones, preserving moments in time that we can never get back, as they grow and change right in front of my lens. There is so much true beauty in that. Check out the 2nd pic to see the first professional photo I ever took of my girl, Mattie!

I do a lot of directing and use prompts to encourage genuine interactions during sessions. This one happened to take a turn but I don't think I could love the results any more than this! Me: Okay, so you're gonna just reach up under his arm like.. perfect.. Her: Oh, I got this! ... Him: Oh, no. Get out of there!
