OPERATION DAD-BOD TO RAD-BOD Day 9. Feeling lethargic and the body just feels tired. Still have tons of energy and focus just feel like I am pulling a sled when I run.. Pretty sure it's not the Keto Flu so did a bunch of keto blog reading today and it's good to know I am not the only one. Seems the general consensus is mineral deficiency, in particular magnesium, potassium and sodium (electrolytes). Something to do with the way the body rids itself of those because of the decreased carb load.. So, I found a recipe for an electrolyte drink and am going to start drinking it in hopes of replenishing those deficient electrolytes. All of the blogs I was reading yesterday spoke of pretty dramatic improvement in just a few days so I'll keep you posted.

Well, week one of OPERATION DAD-BOD to RAD-BOD down. Between eating Ketogenic, combining a 48-hour fast and then a couple intermittent fasting days in, this week was a good one! I dropped 4.5 lbs and 2.9% bodyfat. I calculated it all up and ended the week with a 7318 calorie deficit. I also have been doing a bunch of research into whether or not exogenous ketones do anything for you when you are eating Keto, and I believe the answer to be a resounding yes. I think the results speak for themselves. I lost my Keto-Mojo blood tester, but have been testing my breath with my Ketonix breath analyser and I have been carrying a much higher breath ketone level, which means they are being used by my body, so they are definitely back on the menu. In addition, KETO//OS just gives me more energy and focus.

OPERATION DAD-BOD TO RAD-BOD Day 7: Weigh-in #1: started the week at 189.4 and weighed in at 184.9. Down 4.5lbs this week. Started the week at 25.1% bodyfat, and registered 22.2% this morning. Dadgummit, I love being in ketosis!

OPERATION DAD-BOD TO RAD-BOD Day 6: Up early to help a buddy move and then been moving non-stop all day. Been a great day. Have so much more energy when I am in Ketosis! One nice thing about all that moving? Eating enough to not get too big of a calorie deficit! Ate almost 3,000 calories today and it still wasn't enough. Back when I was a glucose (carb) burner, it was nothing to eat 3000 calories. Heck I have done that in a single meal...as a jet fueled ketone burner its danged near impossible to shovel that much food in your face. Will grab a weight and some measurements in the morning. We'll see how week 1 back in the Keto saddle has treated me...

OPERATION DAD-BOD TO RAD-BOD Day 5: The Wednesday morning 3AM bubble-gut wake-up call caught up with me this morning. Couldn't make myself get up this morning...alarm went off at 415 but was too weary to pull off exercising this morning...fully intended to workout and cook that bacon for breakfast...instead, got some much needed sleep and ended up with another unintentional intermittent fast day today since I never have time to eat lunch. Tomorrow I will eat breakfast! Cooked up a few packages of bacon tonight...Yvette went to dinner with a friend so me and the Girlies had breakfast for dinner! Egg, bacon and cheese breakfast burritos (mine had a chopped jalapeno from my plants...first one of the season) ....mmmm mmmmmmm! Good stuff!
