We have a blow out on our main line north of Bethel! Some will lose their water or at least reduced pressure. They are beginning repairs but in the mean time PLEASE CONSERVE water for the rest of the day. This includes our customers in Zafra, Octavia, Ludlow and Honobia. We will keep you updated. Thank you!!
Broken Bow will be turning off the water to all water districts on May 1, Saturday, at 8:00 a.m. for maintenance. This is for 4 to 6 hours and will NOT effect us for this amount of time. Our water towers will take care of us so no one will lose their water. We would appreciate everyone conserving water as a "just in case" Broken Bow has a problem and takes longer than expected. Jerry is on top of everything and will be watching our system, as usual. Thank you.
PLEASE, everyone on rural water check your water lines, outside faucets, cabins for breaks/leaks. The pumps and towers are working overtime to keep up. The last several days, Jerry and crew are finding many, many line breaks on our customers sides. Your bills will be high and the pumps cannot keep up. The water district lines have survived the freezing temperatures but not our customers plumbing. If the pumps and towers can't slow down and recover, we will have to turn everyone off until the towers catch up. We have too many meters for our crew to continue going meter to meter looking for leaks. Please check for leaks/breaks. Thank you everybody!!
Good news!! Jerry & crew has found the problem!! We are still asking everyone to conserve water today to give Octavia tower a chance to refill. This will take the strain off our Carter Mt tower that was trying to keep Octavia filled. Prayers answered!!
We are still having problems with frozen and or broke water lines. Octavia tower is draining fast and pumps are overworking. Please check your lines, especially unoccupied cabins. Please conserve water as much as possible, except dripping your lines to prevent freezing pipes tonight. Our crew may start turning off valves temporarily tomorrow searching for broke lines. Also, Broken Bow is having problems and your water pressure may be low until their problems are fixed. Please call if you find any broke lines along the roads. Jerry 580-982-8003 or Debbie 580-306-3456
We still have not found a leak/break on lines from Octavia tower. Please use only water you absolutely need until the problem is found. The crew will start turning off water lines to locate the problem. Water should only be off an hour before it is turned back on. If you see a problem, please call Jerry at 580-982-8003 or Debbie at 580-306-3456
The water line break was repaired about midnight but the tower is struggling to refill. For the next 4 or 5 hrs, please conserve water. Maybe wait to water garden or refill pools, etc We lost a huge amount of water that drained the tower. We apologize for your inconvenience.
We have a new website! One addition we have made is that you can sign up for Text Alerts. This will let you know when there is a problems with the water and where the problem is located. We are still adding to the new website and hope everyone finds it useful. https://kiamichirwd6.com

We have finally found the break today!! It is 1/4 mi north of the Triangle. Everyone south and Bethel to Pickens should be getting their water back on soon. Smithville will take a little longer to get their water back. Before we can repair the problem, the lines for phone, electric, fiber optics, etc have to be located. They will get it repaired as soon as possible!
THANK YOU to all of our customers who lost their water Thursday and Friday!! The water is back on and everyone should have their water back. Thank you for your patience!!
It was 27 degrees at my house this morning a little before 9 a.m.!! Just a reminder to take steps to prevent your water from freezing. Drip a faucet, wrap your pipes. Check out our website for winterizing tips https://kiamichirwd6.com/ You can also sign up for text message alerts when a water emergency is happening that will affect you.
To all of our wonderful customers that went without water Friday evening and Saturday morning, THANK YOU!. We so appreciate your patience and good nature over the outage. It was a large break that took a lot of time to repair. Thank you!!
Emergency!! We have a major leak of the main water line 1/4 mile south of the triangle on Hwy 259!! We do not know what caused this yet but will effect everyone to the west (Bethel, Pickens, Battiest). If you still have water, please conserve your use to make it last longer for you. This is going to take long time to repair. We cannot start digging and repair until the phone, fiber optics, etc. have been located and that will take up to several hours to get the locator up here. We will get this repaired as soon as possible!! Thank you to those that reported the blowout.
EMERGENCY: We have a water outage in the Bethel, Battiest & Pickens areas. The fiber optic company installing a fiber optic line has hit our main line near the Bethel post office. We will be working to repair this line as soon as possible. Without any surprises, it will take 3-4 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience!
