Our Thoughts and prayer go out to our brothers at the Waynoka Fire Dept and the Waynoka community as they mourn the loss of two firefighter and two residence in a house fire last night.

Beautiful weather today allowed us to perform our yearly service pump test. This is a requirement that we have to meet to obtain our ISO rate. Wanette Fd, Maud Fd also performed test today also

Update: Konawa Public Schools will be offering Grab and Go breakfast and lunch services starting next Wednesday, March 25th to any child up to 18 years of age... or students on an IEP up to age 21. There will be a designated pickup lane behind the school cafeteria or even a delivery opportunity for those who are interested. You can call next Monday or Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to register your children at 580-925-3244 ext 1. Procedure: The pick-up line will be available between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m each day (including Fridays) but Saturday and Sunday. When using the pick-up lane please create one line entering from the east side of the school by the bus barns and make your exit towards the elementary/HS toward South Street. There will be a spot available for someone to bring the food to you. Please do not enter the building.

There are No reported cases of the Covid-19 Corona Virus in the City of Konawa. 1. Only call 911 for a actual emergency. Do not call simply because you’re feeling ill with Flu-like symptoms. 2. If you feel like you have the Flu or COVID-19 please contact your primary care physician or the local ER by PHONE first. DO NOT DRIVE TO THE ER OR DOCTORS OFFICE WITHOUT FIRST CALLING.... 3. IF you call 911 please give them your address and then if ANYONE at the home is experiencing Flu-like symptoms let the dispatcher know. Let the dispatcher know even if the emergency does not involve the person feeling ill. 4. Firefighters and EMS crews have a limited supply of PPE (masks, gowns, gloves, and face shields) due to the Coronavirus. You calling your physician or ER first and not calling 911 first for Flu-like symptoms is a vital part in helping make our PPE last. ONCE AGAIN WE DO NOT KNOW OF CASES OF CORONAVIRUS IN THE CITY OF KONAWA. We would like to encourage you to spread this message.

Today we assisted Sasakwa FD along with BIA units.Backburned to previous burn line and established a line.
