Yesterday we had the final walkthrough for the Northampton house. Usually, this is a formality before closing to make sure that the house has been left in acceptable condition and repairs have been completed. This time it was different. The homeowners greeted us at the door and welcomed my clients into the house saying, "this is your home now, we're the guests." They walked through the house together, pointing out how things worked, where to find the skinny key for the bathroom (in case the kids lock themselves inside), and the trick to turn on the fireplace. As we left, they hugged each of my client's children as if they were family. All the worry of the last few weeks left both families. This home is filled with love and a connection has been made! Homes that would have sat on the market just six months ago are selling in a matter of days with multiple offers. Looking at an array of full price (or above) offers, sellers have the luxury to be selective.
