*****update-Jace has been located safely***** The McIntosh County Sheriff’s Department is currently looking for 14-year-old Jace Durrett near the community of... Carr Creek on Texanna Road. Jace is autistic and was last seen wearing blue hoodie, blue jeans and black chucks. Jace is accompanied by a small brown dog. If you have any information contact the Sheriffs Department.

Water Alert (Monday 2/22): This will be today's post to track updates on the water system. ---------- Update 4:38pm: Crews have repaired all major leaks ident...ified today. The water tower has held at 12'6" which is good. The booster pump in River Oaks is running, but we believe the tower is still too low for water to reach customers in Stone Ridge, Buffalo Ridge and Breckenridge. We are monitoring the water levels and hope to see the tower level start to increase and bring water to those customers later this evening. Customers in those areas will continue to see low to no water pressure through this evening. We saw a high demand for water throughout today. We understand the desire to do laundry, wash the car, run the dishwasher, etc., but we really need all customers to please conserve water as much as possible to allow our system to continue re-filling. ----------- Update: 1:22pm: Crews continue to repair multiple leaks at this time. There continues to be a water outage for customers in Breckenridge, Buffalo Ridge, and Stone Ridge Estates areas, and going south on Highway 9 (Jones Road, etc.). We will update this post when we have additional information. ----------- There is a major leak on Birkes Road that crews are responding to. There are also at least three smaller leaks that the crews will be addressing today if possible. At this time, customers in Breckenridge, Buffalo Ridge, and Stone Ridge Estates areas, and going south on Highway 9 (Jones Road, etc.). We will update this post when we have additional information.

The water tower is up to 14’2 this morning. Thank you to everyone who went through the night without water. We are hoping to be back to normal this week.

Update 6:53pm: Two leaks have been fixed, however the water tower still needs time to refill. It is at 8'4", and we need it to be at least 10' to ensure that t...here is enough pressure for water to reach outlying areas like Sherwood Forest, River Oaks, Eagle Bluff, etc. At this time, customers will continue to experience low/no water until 6am. At that time we hope to have water restored to everyone, and to be able to make it through the day without any further interruptions in service. We understand the significant impact that this has on everyone, but this is what is necessary to get our water system back on track. -------------- Update 5:13pm: We are still working on leaks. Will post an update as soon as we have one. Update 3:47pm: Crews are addressing two water leaks at this time. As stated earlier, all customers will experience low to no water pressure throughout the day. We will post an update as soon as we have one. --------------- Water Alert: We believe there is another major water leak in the system. If you have seen one please call to report it immediately. Throughout today all customers will experience low to no water pressure until we identify and fix the problem. Water conservation is critical so that we can minimize the impact of the low water level in the water tower.

We need your help in continuing to conserve water. This is important to protect our water supply as we get out of this winter storm event. If you see a water leak, please call City Hall at 918-689-2534 during normal hours or after hours call 918-617-2552. Please stay safe and warm!
