Lake Eufaula Fishing Guide

Back on Lake Eufaula today had an afternoon trip fishing with Don Matthews today of Henryetta. Don is a very accomplished fisherman and has been fishing Lake Eufaula for years. Don's a great friend and I look forward to fishing with him every year. Today we hit the water at 1:30 and fish till 5:30. We must have caught over 100 fish today throwing the smaller fish back and keeping our limit of 74 fish. Today all of our fish came off jigs. Water temperature was 60 with a brisk North wind. The fish were on fire today sometimes they would come 4 feet to grab the jigs. All fish came out of 8 to 10 ft of water on the bottom. Back on Lake Eufaula today fishing with Troy Brett, Danny and Dustin from Kansas City Missouri. The bite today was a lot slower than normal maybe the front coming through last night. Nevertheless we had a good morning fishing and putting some nice crappie in the boat. We caught a lot of small fish today that went back to grow up. Brett caught a nice 14 inch crappie that weighed 1.74 lb that was our largest fish today. Most fish today came out of 6 to 10 ft of water on the bottom. Water temperature 61 where we were fishing. Well back on Lake Eufaula this morning fishing with Jim and Don from Omaha Nebraska on day two of their trip. We thought yesterday was good but today the fish were very active from the time we got there to the time we left at 1:00. Once again all of our fish coming out of 10 to 12 ft of water. Water temperature was running 60 to 61. We caught a lot of really nice fish today. Hair jigs and a few minnows today catching jim the largest fish for the second day in a row. Back fishing on Lake Eufaula today with Jim Foster and his buddy James from Nebraska. These guys were hoot to fish with. We had a really good time. Still pulling fish out of 10 ft of water on the bottom. Hair jigs and minnows again today did the trick. Water temperature was up to 61 where we were fishing. Back on Lake Eufaula today fishing with John, Thomas, and Brian from Western Oklahoma. All I can say is we flat hammered them today. The best bite we've had in a week. And after a cold front and rain to boot. I keep thinking maybe someday I'll figure it all out. But right now it never cease to amaze me. Today's fish all come out of 10 ft of water. Most fish were on the bottom but we did get a few that were suspended. Hair jigs and minnows worked best today. Water temperature today cooled down to 59 and 60 everywhere we went. Back on Lake Eufaula today fishing with Frank and Lisa from Northern Texas up here for their anniversary and wanted to get in on some Lake Eufaula crappie fishing. Today most of our fish came off the bottom in five to seven foot of water. Hair jigs seem to work the best. Water temperature today was up to 62 where we were fishing. Would like to thank Todd and Brian from Topeka Kansas for fishing with me over the last 2 days on Lake Eufaula. Todd's been with us several times in the past and it's always good to see old clients again. We've been fishing the south end of the lake fighting the wind over the last 2 days it's been brutal I can tell you that. But we ended up having two good days despite the weather. All fish came out of 7 to 10 ft of water on the bottom. Jigs was our weapon of choice again. Water temperatures up to 61 to 64 depending on where you were. Back on Lake Eufaula today. Today I was fishing with Joe and Carrie from Oklahoma City. These guys are a great couple that loves to fish. It was another one of those days grinding it out. But after moving from a few spots we did end up with a good mess of fish and a couple over 2 lbs. Most fish today came from 10 to 12 foot of water right on the bottom. Back on Lake Eufaula today fishing with Steve his daughter Mary and Daniel from Mississippi. Steve's a lifelong client that has an amazing family. Mary's has fished with me since she was a little girl and it's always special to have them down. Today was a little tougher than normal for us had to really work for the fish. But we had fun setting a few jug lines losing a few catfish LOL. And catching a mess crappie. Including one that weighed just a little over 2 lbs. Today's fish we're all caught on hair jigs off the bottom in 8 to 10 ft of water. Water temperature was 58. Where we were fishing. Another eventful day on Lake Eufaula Started out with a blowout on the trailer first thing this morning. That delayed things about 15 minutes. But nevertheless still right on time to meet my clients. Today I had Doug and Jerry. These guys that fish with me I don't know how many times and today was another great day. The bite was very slow today but we did end up with a very nice massive fish. Another exciting day on Lake Eufaula. Today I was fishing with Cody and Steve. These are a couple of swell guys that really like to fish. We had such a fun today. A little breezy. But Hey.. it's spring time in Oklahoma.You just have to learn to adapt and move on. Today the fish were very active. Most of our fish were coming out of four to six foot of water right on the bottom. Jigs again was the bait of choice tipped with a Crappie nugget. This really seemed to make a difference for the fish that were finicky. Man what a blast fishing on Lake Eufaula today. Had Ryan and his lovely wife Sonya. This couple was so much fun we started the morning off by Sonya catching the first fish. A $20 Bass. That's if Ryan pays up LOL. But Ryan held his ground with a beautiful 2.23 lb Crappie. The rest of the morning it was just swinging good eaters in. Today's bite was old school again just dragging jigs in 10 to 12 foot of water. Water temperature today was 56, cooled off some from yesterday. What a beautiful day on Lake Eufaula. Today I was fishing with Todd and Christy. Todd and his son have fished with us several times over the years but today he brought his wife Christy who loves to fish. After a few minutes showing them our technique how to use a jigs they were both catching fish. Today was old school again just dragging jigs most fish were caught off the bottom and 8 to 12 ft of water. Water temperature 59 there was no shortage of boats today.
