Lawson's Funeral Homes 24.05.2021

Ruby (Lois) Scott Duffield, 93, of Eucha, OK went to meet our Lord and Savior at her home on Monday, April 19th, 2021 at 8:30pm. She was born on October 31, 1927 in Walsh, Colorado to Walter Lafayette Scott and Jewel Opal (Mayes) Scott- Crothers. Lois and Jess were school sweethearts in Modesto, California and were married on March 21, 1944 in Pryor, Oklahoma. Lois and Jess had three children, Carroll Lee Duffield- Haggard, Jesse Wayne Duffield, and Lois (Dianne) Duffield-Lan...e. Lois was the first female Deputy in Delaware County as well as a lifelong Farmer and Rancher. She loved traveling and visiting family while enjoying her endless adventures along the way. Her children and grandchildren meant the World to her. A lovely lady that had a caring and giving heart with unconditional love. She made everyone feel special. When you were at Lois’s home, she would make sure you had something to eat and drink, while catching up on what was going on in your life. We are going to miss her dearly and will always keep her memory alive here on this Earth. One day, we know we will all be together again in Eternal Heaven. Until then, she will always be our guardian angel watching over us, and that bright star shining down upon us with her love. Lois is preceded in death by her parents and stepfather Jack Crothers; her husband, Jesse Merle Duffield; one daughter, Lois (Dianne) Lane; two brothers, an infant and J.C. Barnes; one granddaughter, Mechelle Dianne (Vernon) Starr; two sons-in-law, Adrian Haggard, and Gordon Lane; one grandson-in-law, Robert D. Brown and one granddaughter-in-law, Jerri Lane. Lois is survived by one daughter, Carroll Lee Haggard of the home; one son, Jesse Wayne Duffield of Eucha, OK; one brother, Garrett Benny Scott and wife Jill of Reno, Nevada; Nine Grandchildren; Twenty-four Great-Grandchildren; Twenty-eight Great-Great Grandchildren and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Lois’s family visitation to greet friends will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 6:00 8:00pm at Lawson’s Funeral Homes Chapel, 311 W Gray St., Jay, OK. Lois’s Celebration Of Life Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, 2:00pm, April 24, 2021 at First Baptist Church, 503 N. 4th St., Jay, OK. Burial will be at Duffield Cemetery of Jay, OK. Gary Lynn McCroskey, 66, passed away on April 18, 2021 at his residence in Jay, Oklahoma with his family by his side. He was born on March 24, 1955 in Henryetta, OK to his parents, Minor and Sarah Arvella McCroskey. Gary worked in the Oil Field Maintenance and Mechanical Industry. Gary loved to go boating, fishing, and shooting guns with friends and family. Gary is preceded in death by his Parents; Grandparents; Nephew, Joseph McCroskey, Jr.; Niece, Bridget McCroskey; several... Aunts, Uncles and Friends. Lois Jane Brown, 81, left this world April 17, 2021, in Grove, OK surrounded by her family. Lois was loved by many and will be missed by all, but none loved her more and none will miss her more than her husband of 63 years, Henry Edward Brown. She was very intelligent, independent, and creative. Lois was an incredibly hard worker with a huge heart. She was a lifelong, naturally born educator, continually learning, educating herself and teaching others what she knew. She had s...trong beliefs and compassion for social justice. She graduated with her college degree as a mother to five girls while working full time. She was the first woman elected to the Jay Public School Board. She was proud of her career as a social worker at Delaware County Department of Human Services. After retirement, she became a bail bondsman, something that kept her on her toes and her family both entertained and worried. Lois loved nature and being in the woods. She grew gardens, crafted, cared for animals, and foraged for wild foods. She was an excellent cook, and these are skills she passed on through the generations of her family. She will be remembered fondly for her witty sense of humor and entertaining storytelling. Most of all, she was dedicated to her children and grandchildren, who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents Anna and Bill McGimpsey, her brothers, Martin David and William Ray McGimpsey, and sisters Carol and Mary McGimpsey. Lois is survived by her husband, Henry Edward Brown and their five daughters, LaDonna (Jeff) Brewer of Owasso, OK, Anita Brown of Hendersonville, NC, Leslie (Jay) Herkelman of Coffeyville, KS, Cindy (Jeff) Weaver of Jay, OK, and Jamie (Brent) Pearce of Porum, OK; her siblings Willa Rose Merriott of Destin, FL, and Jerry (Regina) Parrish of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren Tamra, Matt, Rachel, Anna (Robert), Kailey (Izack), Abbie, Zoey (David), Emma, Samantha, Halle, and Quincy; and great-grandchildren Hayden, Izabella, Teague, and extended family and friends. McKinley David Taylor (Mac Forwardflip), 28, of Catoosa, OK, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in Siloam Springs, AR after a couple of months of illness. He was born in Grove, OK on May 21, 1992 to his parents, Carrie Jean O’Field and David Lee Taylor. After graduating from Catoosa High School, Mac went on to make his story into becoming who he was in life. After graduation, he landed his first job as a Brick Layer with his father through Dale Perdue where he took much... pride of the work he had done. His best friend/son came into his life on January 27, 2014 and his name was Zaine McKinley Taylor. Zaine and his father always liked to play catch, go fishing, play video games, and just to hang out. In 2020, he met Jennifer Marqeuz at Walmart, who became incredibly good friends which led to a relationship. They were co-workers who came together. Jennifer would always take care of Mac in good health and illness. Mac is preceded in death by his mother, Carrie Jean O’Field. He is survived by his Father and Step-Mother, David Taylor and Tena Taylor; his brother and wife, Mason Taylor and Nerissa Tsosie; his son, Zaine McKinley Taylor and his girlfriend, Jennifer Marquez. Mac has many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, extended family and friends who will love him and miss him dearly. Dona Maxine Callis, 100 years old, lifetime resident of Jay, OK went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 8, 2021 in Grove, OK. She was born on August 26, 1920 in Jay, Oklahoma to her parents, Robert Lee Earp and Nellie Abercrombie-Earp. After Maxine graduated from High School, she worked many jobs throughout her life. Her career was in Merchandising Sales in the Clothing Industry. She worked at Kelly’s Clothing Department for years. Maxine enjoyed gardening..., canning and the outdoors. She was a woman of Christian faith and loved the Lord with all her heart. She attended numerous churches throughout her life while serving the Lord. Maxine will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
