Another great day of training at Superior Therapy LLC!

Meet course instructor, Ciara Crawford, host of Equine Kinesiology Taping With/Sozo Equine At Superior Therapy In this episode, my guest is Ciara Crawford of Sozo Equine, a human occupational therapist that also helps horses succeed at their occupations. We bounce back and forth between the human and equine modalities of massage, myofascial release, and kinesiology for supporting and healing the body. We also discuss the huge roll the fascia plays in the body. She also introduces us to her equine kinesiology taping courses and how every horse owner can benefit from the knowledge and ability to tape their own horse.

Believe it or not... They don't all "get it" the first day. Let’s Talk... Training the Anxious Horse (Sound on for explanation during the video)... This video is kind of long, but I really wanted everyone to see the progression of the horse over a 4 day period. You will run across horses that get extremely anxious when training to the aquatred. We strongly prefer not to use any form of sedation, because I want to see how correctly the horse moves during a workout. So this is a 3 yr old thoroughbred that is in race training. She had some issues with gate breaking at the track, so our goal is to work on her fitness level so that she can get her gate card and continue on with her career. Because she has on racing plates, we opt to tread her in rubber bell boots for her safety. This is also something to be very aware of as she starts to panic. I’ll take you through a couple of really rough workouts and you can see how much horsemanship plays a part in keeping everyone safe when a horse doesn’t cooperate on the aquatred.

What's your "WHY"? I'm pretty sure every small business owner hears this word like 20 times a day.... Why did you start your business? Why did you choose this location, this industry, this content, this look? Why should we choose you?.... I spend a lot of my day answering the "Why's" from other people. It sounds like a burden, but in reality that's how you form a bond with customers. They have to know they can trust you. If someone is asking you "Why" they obviously... value your opinion. Be thankful!! This is how you build connections. Your "Why" is your purpose!!! And having Purpose is the most important thing you have have each day! It fuels you to keep chasing your dreams... To get up every morning and hustle... To keep fighting through the hard times.... I encourage you to revisit your "Why" every day. Keep yourself focused on your dreams. Look in the mirror every morning and remind yourself that you're on a journey to something great!! So my question for your today is.... Get to know your "Why".... Share it in the comments below!
