Weather has a huge impact on our mood. Listening to your body is extremely important and can help your mental health improve! "We wake up when it gets bright in the morning so that our activities follow a rough circadian rhythm, as do internal physiological systems from digestion to immune function. For example, we eat less often in the nighttime because insulin production slows and less sugar is withdrawn from the bloodstream, which blunts hunger. Knowledge about the restora...tive value of sleep is expanding by leaps and bounds, from its effects on immune function to memory and flushing the brain of impurities (1). Feeling tired encourages us to lie down and sleep each night." Great article read! https://www.psychologytoday.com///why-weather-affects-mood

Some helpful tools!

Emily Feller Therapy 27.10.2021

Life is tough and extremely complex. When it comes to seeking help, it can be hard to find someone that you can trust and be able to discuss the intense "stuff". Therapy is a way to gain tools that will help guide you through this life. People come in different shapes and sizes, with so many different experiences and trauma. There isn't a specific criteria that can define a person to one thing. Therefore, anyone is welcome. Come one, come all. I have worked with adults, kids,... families, and couples that have struggled with: coping skills, triggers, family/couple's complexities, trauma's/abuse, anxiety/depression, self care/love, ADHD/ ADD, communication issues, setting boundaries, sexual identity, sexual issues, health issues, self harm, suicidal thoughts, behavioral problems, and some addictions. I love being able to sit down with my clients and help them gain the tools they need to have a more successful life. Anything in life can be a challenge, but having knowledge of healthy ways through those challenges is key. Having support and care from others is so important, and I would love to help and guide you through those together! See more
