We continue highlighting our Site Educators of the Year with Muskogee High School's Jack Reavis. Jack Reavis teaches United States History, AP United States H...istory, AP European History at Muskogee High School. In addition to his teaching duties, he serves as assistant volleyball and girls basketball coach for the Lady Roughers. A graduate of Tahlequah High School, Reavis attended Northeastern State University earning a B.A. in Social Studies Education and M.A. in American Studies. A self-described lifer at MHS and West Junior High. Reavis is the proud husband of Lora and father to Ashley, Bayly, Maryah, and Madison. Being a father and friend to his four daughters as well as husband and life companion to Lora is his most important and ongoing accomplishment. Additionally being the oldest brother to his three sisters and brother whom he dearly loves and friend to many. Jack is an Eagle Scout, twice has been Muskogee Public Schools Teacher of the Year in 2008 and 2016, and Finalist for Oklahoma State Teacher of the Year for 2015-16. This marks the fourth time Reavis has been recognized as MHS Site Educator of the Year. He was recognized by United States Congressman Dan Boren for his Special Contribution to the Muskogee Community in 2006. Former Muskogee Mayor Wren Stratton presented an award from the City of Muskogee to Reavis for his Outstanding Contributions and Dedicated Service to the Citizens of Muskogee in 2006. He is a published author in newspapers and chronicles, award-winning songwriter, honored teacher by the Cherokee Nation, and a member of numerous clubs, associations, and organizations. He also serves as sponsor of MHS Young Democrats and the newly formed Conspiracy Theory Club. In his free time, he contemplates if Einstein was correct about Space-Time, plays his guitar and writes poetry, pulls weeds in his yard, and brings flowers to his wife Lora. His goal as an educator, Not to be part of a problem and keep changing the world!

Jostens will be here next Wednesday, April 14th to deliver cap, gowns, and announcements in the cafeteria. They will be here from 10:00-1:00. 10:00-11:30 will ...be for Virtual Students Only Brick and Mortar students will pick up during their lunch. If students have NOT ordered a cap & gown they have until April 30th. To order from Jostens they will need to call the customer service number 1-800-567-8367 If students miss this date and are paid in full their items will remain at the school for pick up.
