On March 9th at approximately 3am an Officer with the Minco Police Department attempted to make contact with two individuals in the area of 7th and Belle. The individuals fled the area and were not located. The individuals did discard several items including a bicycle and some lawn equipment. If you believe any of the items belong to you please contact us at 405-352-4274. If no one answers leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible. The individuals are believed to be connected to several incidents that have happened in the last 24 hours and locating the area these items were taken from could help determine the identities of the suspects.

On 1/6/2021 at approximately 2140 hours, Ofc. Tucker Halstead observed a vehicle at a high rate of speed traveling south on US HWY 81. Ofc. Halstead confirmed the vehicles speed via radar at 99 MPH. Ofc. Halstead caught up to the vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop. When Ofc. Halstead activated his emergency equipment; the vehicle continued south accelerating at an even higher rate of speed. Ofc. Halstead engaged in a pursuit of a 2019 Chevy Camaro on US HWY 81 until... the driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed near County Road 1300. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jarrett Norfork. Two other passengers were in the vehicle; they along with Norfork were checked and released by EMS. Both passengers were detained and later released after it was discovered they had no involvement in the crimes. Norfork was taken into custody. When conducting records checks on the vehicle, the tag on the vehicle did not come back to a Chevrolet Camaro. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen out of Weatherford, OK. Located inside of the vehicle was methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia. Norfork admitted to stealing the vehicle a couple of days prior and stated that he and his friends were heading to Lawton to meet up with some others to go to a hotel room to do drugs and hangout. Norfork was also in possession of two firearms, a handgun and a rifle. Norfork admitted to ingesting methamphetamine to avoid Police Officers from locating it. Norfork was transported to the Grady County Law Enforcement Center where he was booked in on the following charges: Felony Eluding Police Officer Driving Under the Influence Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance with Intent to Distribute Felon in possession of firearm after former felony conviction Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle The Minco Police Department extends its thanks to the Grady County Sheriff’s Office and Oklahoma Highway Patrol in safely ending this pursuit and taking the suspect into custody.
