Flag Day marks the adoption of the first U.S. Flag on June 14, 1777 and was recognized as a holiday in 1916 by President Woodrow Wilson. The National Weather Service issued a Heat Advisory that includes Oklahoma County until 7:00 PM tonight. Stay indoors if possible. If you must be outside, be s...ure to drink lots of water and protect yourself from the sun. Know the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke. If you're working or exercising outside, you may still be sweating and develop heat stroke, so don't assume that you don't have it just because your skin isn't dry. Heat stroke is a life threatening emergency. If you suspect you have heat stroke, call 911. Bring animals indoors when possible, and be sure those outdoors have unlimited access to fresh, cool water.
