Newcastle Emergency Management 07.07.2021

A water line break occurred on at approximately 9:30 am at Grigsby Street in Newcastle Acres. This has interrupted service for the entire subdivision. Public Works crews are working to fix the line at this time and estimate that service will be restored by 3 pm. If you experience water problems in Newcastle please use our online form at https://cityofnewcastleok.com/contact or call Public Works at 405-387-4434, or after hours, call the Police Department at 405-387-5525. (Fri 6/11) Severe storms remain possible this evening. If storms develop, the main risk will be damaging wind gusts with the possibility for large hail across northern OK. Timing will be 7pm-midnight northern OK, 11pm-5am central/southern OK.

THE FIRST ANNUAL YOUTH FISHING DERBY is TOMORROW (JUNE 12th)! Parking will be available on Garrett Drive (shown in yellow), which will be a temporary northbound... one-way street, with overflow parking at the Library. It will definitely be hot, so make sure you bring water, chairs and sunscreen! We've had tons of pre-registrations and we'll do our best to accommodate everyone who comes, but please be aware it is going to be a full house.

It's one of those days where most of the day will be dry, but you m...ay experience a brief shower and thunderstorm (or see one in the distance) at any point during the day. Just be prepared! More numerous strong to severe thunderstorms are possible late this evening into the overnight hours. Damaging wind gusts and hail are possible along with heavy rainfall.
