Newton Design Wins Largest Fundraising Team for APDA Optimism Walk Newton Design is very proud to support our local Parkinson's community by participating in the APDA Oklahoma VIRTUAL Optimism Walk on August 29. It was quite a day, which started off with a Community Kick-off Celebration via Zoom, where prize winners were announced, sponsors were thanked, and the Circle of Optimism Award winners were thanked. Team Newton Design stepped up in 2020 to win the largest fundraising team by a landslide, led by Jenessa Marler. Thank you to all who garnered the support of friends and family to raise money for local support services, education, and research.

MODSIM World Interview with Conference Chair David Jones "MODSIM 2020's theme is 'Predicting and Solving the Problems of Tomorrow, Today'," Conference Chair David Jones, Founder/President, Quantified Design Solutions, LLC, told the Show Daily. "Over the past decade, the industry has continued to advance modeling and simulation tools to move beyond solving current problems. We can now use advanced modeling and simulation tools and techniques to predict what future problems w...ill be and solve those as well. The technical program speaks to the direct application of modeling and simulation to solve real-world problems within four key tracks: analytics and decision making, cross-reality, science and engineering, and training and education. This year we are augmenting those tracks with special cross-track problem spaces that represent critical modeling and simulation needs to be defined by decision-makers and industry leaders that will be in attendance at the conference." Jones noted that "MODSIM is an international conference with a Norfolk/Tidewater Virginia regional attendance that you don't see at any other modeling and simulation conference. The agenda and the events that are planned at the conference directly link modeling and simulation developers and researchers with policymakers, end-users, and senior leaders. The networking opportunities provided place the people with real problems in direct contact with the people that can solve those problems. "The agenda this year is packed with events that MODSIM attendees have enjoyed over the past years, including the Senior Leader panel, Defense and Homeland Security panel and the Sim Century events. We are complimenting these core events with some exciting new events to engage researchers and developers, including the presentation of the best in show from the modeling, simulation, and visualization student capstone conference and multiple developer workshops. The ecosystem that is being created with the conference this year is one that is sure to create real benefit to all attendees." More information can be found at modsimworld.org.
