NW OKC Rotary Club

During our weekly meeting held at The Greens Country Club, our group heard from Clarissa Watkins with Hilltop Clinic - a faith-based charitable clinic located in the heart of southwest Oklahoma City. They are a part of the Christ Community Health Coalition and serve and partner with families in their community to provide high-quality medical and personal care to uninsured and under-insured children. They provide a multiple number of health related services for the communities they serve. Being a charitable organization, they are always looking for volunteers and donations to help them in their mission. During their weekly lunch meeting held at The Greens Country Club on May 11th, 2021, the NW OKC Rotary Club heard from Kyle William Roberts with Reckless Abandonment Pictures. Kyle presented on the growing film industry in the state of Oklahoma and its financial impact, along with many other opportunities the film industry is providing to Oklahomans. Also during the meeting, the NW OKC Rotary Club welcomed its newest member - Chad McLerran, with member Jim King presenting Chad his membership certificate. It was a fantastic meeting with many questions for our guest speaker and having our club grow once again.

Hello NW OKC Rotary Club, quick reminder we will be meeting in person tomorrow, April 27th, at The Greens Country Club. Meeting will start at noon. It will be good to be meeting back in person again.

During today's Zoom lunch meeting we heard from Brian Jensen with the American Red Cross of Oklahoma. Brian presented all the work the American Red Cross does during disaster events and the various disasters they respond to. If you are looking for a volunteer organization with whom to be involved, look at the American Red Cross of Oklahoma site as 90% of their work force comes from volunteers.
