We truly wouldn't exist without the support we receive from Allied Arts OKC's grants and funding! Please consider donating to their 2021 campaign as a way to say thank you for supporting our girls. Text "alliedarts" to 91999 to make a gift. #ArtCan #whereartchangeslives

We are beyond thrilled to kick off our Spring 2021 semester & see everyone’s smiling faces. Sure - the delivery is a bit different, but our girls’ work creating art and changing the world is not. Thanks to everyone for your support and well wishes as we’ve swerved and adapted to keep everyone safe. #girlsrule

It is with a sad heart that we announce that Kiona Millirons has stepped away from the school to focus on her family at this time. For our students and families, the school will continue! We are working on expanding access to our programs to all of OKC - and keeping the school your place to learn & change the world. Because, now more than ever, the world needs a lot more #GirlPower! A note from Kiona: "Family is the most important thing for each of us as human beings. I've... had to make some difficult decisions due to the COVID19 pandemic and private family matters. Ultimately, I have to step down as the Executive Director of the School. This was a painful decision but one that I ultimately feel good about. I've spent the last 6 years building an organization for girls where they are free to express themselves, be themselves, learn about themselves, and empower themselves through art. I have no doubt that the Board of Directors will guide OKCGAS into its next phase. I'll be close by to assist when I can. And, of course, I will continue to be an advocate, a supporter, and a friend to OKCGAS. After all, family is important. OKCGAS will always be a part of my family and I hope that every student, volunteer, parent, and teacher will continue to be a part of this family. Thank you OKC for all your support and love over the last 6 years." See more

Thanks to the federal CARES Act, we are able to continue to provide arts education to our girls and empower them to see a future full of creativity and opportunity. We are deeply grateful to the Oklahoma Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, Senator James Lankford, Senator Jim Inhofe, and Congresswoman Kendra Horn. Your support of the arts is truly making a difference in our students' lives. #acreativefuture
