Sneak Peak! Come and listen to Okmulgee talent Thomas Taylor. Tonight the Orpheum Theatre presents Okmulgee’s Got Talent II at 7:30 p.m. orchestrated by the Okmulgee Community Playhouse. Has Covid quarantine got you down? Do you need to get out for a little entertainment? There is still time to catch the second show in downtown Okmulgee. Grab your coat and come to the Orpheum Theatre, they have all the precautions in place, temperatures will be taken at the door. Just $5 for adults, $3 for 65 and over, $3 for students and 11 and under are free. Here are some highlights from today’s matinee. The show is directed by Faye Tipton and the co-producer is John McConnel owner of the Orpheum Theatre.

Thursday December 3 declared day of prayer and fasting As the coronavirus numbers climb in Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt declared Thursday a day of prayer and fasting for the state. Stitt asked all Oklahomans of of all faiths and religious backgrounds to join together with him in prayer and fasting to ask God to heal the sick and comfort those who are hurting and to continue to provide renewed strength to those who are managing the effects of Covid-19. ... Stitt has resisted issuing a statewide mask mandate, but has implemented measures including mask mandates in state buildings and closing bars and in-person restaurant service at 11 p.m. Here you can read the full proclamation.
