The 2021 Dr. Joe V. Whiteman Award winners have been announced! The following animal science Ph.D. students were awarded for their oral research presentations. Excel Maylem received 1st place. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in animal science with a focus in physiology. She is advised by Dr. Leon Spicer. Her presentation was titled, Intrafollicular injection of asprosin in water buffaloes and the potential role of FBN1 mRNA and asprosin in follicular function. Congratulations!

Abigail Rathert was named the 2021 Outstanding M.S. student by @okstateafs. Abigail is graduating her M.S. in animal science with a focus in nutrition and was advised by Dr. Andrew Foote. Congratulations!
