Blake recently invited several foster children to his farm for a day of bass fishing, fun and food. This video captures the m...any special moments, plus some big catches! The event was set up through the Fostering Outdoor Oklahoma Families program, which is a partnership between the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC), Oklahoma Human Services and OWCF dedicated to introducing foster children and their families to the outdoors. Hunting season is in full swing, so the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation is working to make sure some of our youth in Oklahoma are set up for success. Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) Director J.D. Strong and OWCF Executive Director Rick Grundman are showing off some of the gear the foundation bought for a series of youth hunts on private land in Beckham County. The controlled youth hunt on private land is aimed at decreasing the number of does on... the property to help decrease crop damage. The foundation has donated several hunting blinds, chairs, shooting rests and deer carts for the hunts. The first hunt happened over the weekend, with three more scheduled this deer season. ODWC will store all the gear for future seasons and youth hunts. Best of luck to all the deer hunters out there! If you have success out in the woods, please share it with us!
