We wanted to let you know about a new change that came out today regarding 2019 Federal income tax returns. The government has decided to allow a 90 day deferral period for Federal penalty and interest. You will still owe the same amount, but now you have a longer amount of time to pay your balance due. This is not an extension of time to file that remains April 15, 2020 for now but only of time to pay. We are going to continue to serve you in the same way and keep pushin...g toward the deadline of April 15, 2020. As of now our internal deadline has not changed. If we receive your information after March 23, 2020, we will file an extension for you. We would like you to be able to leverage this opportunity to your benefit if applicable. If you have not filed your taxes yet, we will still file them in a timely manner or file an extension for you. If you have filed and you owe money to the IRS, the new payment deadline is July 15, 2020. We haven’t heard anything from the State of Oklahoma regarding a deferral period. We will send out an update once the State of Oklahoma makes their decision. Thanks for continuing to value our services. We will be keeping you updated as we receive additional information.
