Well the first round of weaning is almost over. Getting ready for round two

Grateful for the smallest amounts of rain. Thank you Lord for the moisture!

Even though the rain has not kissed the ground much at all here. The grass is dry, and you go to bed thinking about tomorrow. When you wake up. You realize His Mercies are new every morning. No filter needed. God can paint a sunrise. It will rain when its time.

Just like that, our calving season here is over at PCC. What a fun, crazy, life changing experience the last 8.5 months have been since all 71 heifers showed up on the ranch. I’m reminded very simply of James 4 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 I...f any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. I have lived out this passage so many times the last few months. Asking God for all the wisdom I’ve lacked. Oh, the trials we’ve faced, but the joy to know we are doing what we are called to do. We are full swing now into haying season. If there is one thing I could ask from all of you is that you join with us and all ranchers out there. Pray for rain. Pray for good/plentiful grass, pray for healthy cattle, safety, and pray for all your ranchers and their families. See more
