I’m sad to say but the time has come to find a new owner for the bakery. I have given it my everything over the past two years and I feel like it’s time to go home to my family. Being the owner of any small business is brutal, even more so during a pandemic. I have worked endlessly to find ways for us to continue to grow, and we did! I realize that we are one of the lucky ones. I have spent a crazy number of hours at the bakery over the past two years dealing with different ...challenges and I’m simply tired. I cannot continue to spend all my time and energy here. I have a couple of teenagers at home, and a husband, who need me more. The biggest challenge for us has been finding staff, the right people, to help me run this bakery. It’s been up and down all along. We have had, and still have, some wonderful people! But not enough of them, and unfortunately good people come and go. Some of you may know that we have had staffing issues again over the past month and because I simply cannot do it all, I reduced our hours of operation. So yes, I’m very sad to say that I have made the decision to sell the bakery. But I’m confident that we have built something good over here. Hopefully we will be able to find someone to continue the business, even if the concept has to change a little in order to make it easier. It’s a good opportunity for someone to walk in and run a coffee shop out of this space and maybe even continue to grow the lunch menu. I will truly miss all of our loyal customers; I know so many of you by name. I have really enjoyed growing this bakery and loved the opportunity to get to know all of you. While I search for a new owner, I am going to reduce the hours even more. My kids are already on summer break and I am going to spend some more time with them. We will continue our lunch service for the time being. Starting next week, the bakery will be open Monday through Friday, 10am-1:30pm (lunch will start at 11am). If you love the bakery as much as we do then please continue to support us! We need you now more than ever. Please come and grab a coffee, a cookie or a sandwich!
