We have recently seen more people victimized by scams. Here are some tips to help you stay safe. 1. Always check who an email is from. Scammers will often try to make it look like something familiar but the actual email address is slightly changed. 2.When anyone asks for money, even if its a friend, contact them by another means. Talk to them in person or give them a call. If you do not know them personally, check their website or Google their support number. Be careful to us...e the phone number from their website not the suspicious message 3. Scammers usually include some kind of threat. Remember that banks and tech companies like Dell, HP, and Microsoft do not threaten to lock down devices or accounts.
