A new smiling face will be joining our team mid July = Dr. Kaylee Speer! Dr. Speer attended the University of Central Oklahoma, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science. She then earned her doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Dr. Speer was awarded one of six residency spots in the renowned Advance Education in General Dentistry program. We can’t wait to start working with this talented dentist at our 16th Street location! Ms. J. struggled with missing teeth, discolored teeth, ill-fitting removable partial dentures, and not being able to show her true personality due to a lack of confidence in her smile. She also suffered from anxiety from some bad dental experiences at other offices. A lot of patients come to see us because of these issues and have had a little bit of dentistry done over many years or decades. A full upper and lower arch rehabilitation was done with crowns and implants with a result of all teeth matching in color and shape. Also, no removable prosthetics! Life changing! She smiles all the time now and her full personality is displayed. Bonus, she gets lots of compliments on her smile - and as a bonus for us, we’ve seen many referrals from her as a result. This case was completed at RDC circa 2006 and she has remained in the practice since. She regularly comes for her hygiene therapy visits with the Registered Dental Hygienists, water flosses daily, and has switched to an electric toothbrush. Also, she has changed her dietary habits to prevent future problems. Only a few restorations have had to be maintained over the years. Dr. Greenlee sees her most important contribution to the team as trying to really listen, not only to what a patient or fellow team member might be saying with their words, but also with their non-verbal communication.
