Keep all windows and doors securely closed. Although campus dining services will have services available, consider stocking non-perishable food in your room. Report all maintenance issues as soon as possible: https://usao-gcgxy.formstack.com/forms/maintenance_requests Extreme cold can cause water pipes to freeze. You may want to store bottled water for emergency use. To help avoid frozen pipes: Leave all water taps slightly open so they drip continuously.... Keep the indoor temperature warm. When possible, keep cabinet doors open if they house pipes, particularly those that are adjacent to outside walls. Reminder space heaters are not allowed in housing due to potential fire hazard. Do not crank up your thermostat to make your room warmer. Set it at 72 to keep it from overworking. To keep cold air from drafting in through windows, roll up towels and place them along the window sill. Do not use your stove to heat your Lawson apartment. See more
