Friends and customers, as many of you know we are a small (husband, wife, teen son) family business. This is our full time job and livelihood. We love what we do and the people we interact with. My wife Wendy has recently had some medical issues come up that have needed surgery and recovery. We covet your prayers and consideration as she goes through these events. It also means that we are falling a little behind in our orders. Wendy is the bookkeeping, shipping, painti...ng, beading, art consultant, and batch assembly laborer of our little shop. She is also a talented homemaker, feeding her two hungry men and keeping our house while I put in the hours necessary to make each special piece. With her out of service for a few months I, with my son's help, am taking on these duties so that she can focus on recovery. I knew she worked hard but now I have a real appreciation for how long it takes to keep up with all the details that make our home and business work. I ask for your patience and understanding as we work to fill your orders and respond to your queries as efficiently as we can without sacrificing our commitment to quality. The books and schedule are in order, and I am working through the order calendar, but as I take time to take Wendy to appointments and care for her at home I am not putting in as much shop time as usual. We have finished our Shows for the spring season. We have done a lot of business and taken more custom orders. I have been busy sorting orders, filling in my calendar, answering messages, and putting things away from the last show today. Tomorrow I am back at the bench filling orders for the next 2 months. The order calendar is full and I will be contacting each customer as I work on their orders. I have a bit of catching up to do, and I'm ready to get at it.
