Are you a livestock producer whose operation has been directly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic by changing markets? USDA is implementing Coronavirus Food Assistance Program 2 for agricultural producers who continue to face market disruptions and associated costs because of COVID-19. Livestock eligible for CFAP 2 includes: beef cattle, hogs and pigs, and lambs and sheep. For beef cattle, payments will be equal to the producer’s owned inventory of eligible beef cattle, exc...luding breeding stock, on a date selected by the producer from April 16, 2020, through August 31, 2020, multiplied by the payment rate of $55 per head, up to $250,000 or 4,546 head per producer. Coronavirus Food Assistance Program 2, or CFAP 2, will provide producers with financial assistance that gives them the ability to absorb some of the increased marketing costs associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
