Turn Crafted

This piece of oak was severely warped, twisted, and cupped. Most of the twist and cupping is flattened by these six bars. Two more will go down the length on either edge. That should stabilize it enough to make something from it.

Finally have this installed. 4 inches thick and 83 inches long. Custom built brackets.

Working on a solid cherry mantle piece. 4 inches thick and 83 long. Still have a lifetime of sanding to do and a couple bowties for the cracks.

Writing desk for mom. Done in a river style, also did the top shelf river style. Two under shelves for papers. Made this from a single slab of spalted Pecan.
