Filing for Social Security benefits is a complicated process and the Social Security Administration constantly throws up road blocks. Just last week, I saw a graph that shows SS turns down over 75% of all first-time applications. This means only one ou...t of four applicants are approved the first time. SS wants to frustrate you; they want you to drop out and not continue. If you are denied the first time, you must appeal their decision. But then, they make it tricky againyou only have sixty days to appeal. You miss that window and Pow! You have to start over.
