Walters Police Department

The City of Walters is accepting applications for a full time Police Officer and Reserves. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age, possess a current valid Oklahoma driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent. CLEET Certified preferred but not required. Applicant will be required to pass a background check and drug test. Applications are available at City Hall, 129 East Colorado, Walters, OK 73572 or at the Police Station. Cotton County Emergency Management with Cotton County Sheriffs Office are hosting a Stop the Knock / DUI/distracted driving program wit...h Walters Police Department and Oklahoma Highway Patrol at the Walters High School. This program has been in the works for over a year. Last year all programs were cancelled due to covid, but we are getting back into the new normal.
