One of the greatest privileges we have is to engage the Living God through prayer. He is really there. He really listens. But, if we’re honest, many of us find prayer to be somewhat unrewarding, difficult, or even a chore. It doesn’t have to be that way. When Jesus’ disciples asked him how to pray, he offered a simple model prayer to teach them (and us) what prayer was about. In this series we will sit at Jesus’ feet and learn what is at the heart of prayer and how it is like a lifeline, straight to the throne of God.

Love: constantly sought, unendingly celebrated, and desperately needed. Yet, seldom has a word been used more and understood less. Who should know more about love than disciples of Jesus? After all, no one ever loved more fully, deeply, sacrificially, or powerfully than Jesus. What love is this? A love so shocking and world-changing that any other standard pales in comparison. A love that doesn’t leave us as we are but is making us who we will be. A love centered not on a feeling but a cross.
